Newfoundland, Canada

Newfoundland is one of Canada's most beautiful provinces. With a rugged coastline, beautiful wildlife, and some of the friendliest people in the world, Newfoundland is an essential part of Canada's east-coast maritime culture.
Gros Morne is a spectacular National Park. It's filled with interesting plants and animals, and has many picture-worthy views. The peak of the park is a little over eight-hundred meters, but is a hikable by a large range of hiking abilities.

Many of the steep cliffs have a very Icelandic feel to them.

The entrance to a large saud hut. This is a recreated settlement at Norstead imitates how some of the early settlers would have lived. It is a great place to visit if you're interested in Canadian history, viking lifestyles, or alternative building techniques.
There are many varieties of wildflowers that cover Newfoundland - even several varieties of insect-eating plants.

Several saud huts, and a boat built in the fashion of the era.

Newfoundland has many rocky beaches - perfect for beachcombing enthusiasts.
