Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Only having a couple of hours in Mostar, I had just enough time to walk down to Old Bridge, before having to return to the bus station to catch my ride to Croatia.
Stari Most (Old Bridge) is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The bridge was destroyed by war in 1993, after having stood for 427 years. In 1998, UNESCO oversaw the bridge's reconstruction. It was built as similar as possible to the original bridge, using the same technology and materials.
A bridge-jumper about to make the 21m plunge. There is an annual diving competition which has been held 477 as of this year.
