Boseong, South Korea

Boseong is a small coastal community in the south, located between Mokpo and Suncheon.
Tall Cedars line the entrance to Boseong's most famous attraction - it's green tea fields.
Boseong is considered the birthplace of Korea's commercial tea industry, and is the largest producer of tea in the country.
Green tea originated in China, but it has become associated with many cultures throughout Asia.
Many different varieties of green tea have been created because of the various ways different countries grow it. These varieties can differ substantially due to variable growing conditions, horticulture, production processing, and harvesting time.
The hike to the top is roughly 200 meters, and offers great views of the neighboring green tea fields.  These pictures were taken in the fall, so the plant's leaves are a little lighter in hue than they would have been during the summer.
Near the entrance to the green tea field is a large bamboo forest.
Bamboo are the largest members of the grass family. They are some of the fastest growing plants in the world, with reported growth rates of 250 cm in 24 hours.
Like most rural communities in South Korea, other agriculture practices also play a huge role.
Many abandoned boats littler Boseong's southern shore for some reason. Anyone know why?
 Walk the plank.
A field of braced trees - a Korean specialty.
